If you have an affected booking:

  1. For bookings made through an agent, as opposed to you making it with us directly, it is your agent who will be in touch with you at the appropriate time. Please do not contact us directly, it is for your agent to advise you.
  2. For bookings made with us directly, either via our reservations or the Morvan Hotels website, we would ask that you kindly wait for us to contact you. We are reviewing bookings made for 2020 in date order and will keep you informed.
  3. For bookings made with Best Western, please contact Best Western directly with the information on your booking details.

My family has owned and operated hotels in Jersey for over sixty years. Award:  Our Best Western Royal Hotel and Monterey Hotel are open year round and have been assessed as part of the nationally recognised ‘Green Tourism Business Scheme’. 

Green Tourism Award - SilverWe have been awarded Silver status in recognition of sustainability and green working practices. We are committed to improving our working practices further and have carried many of the procedures throughout our hotels. 

We seek to act responsibly in all that we do. As examples, we source our fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers and use local produce including meat and fish where possible to minimise food miles. Also, you may wish to note that we use many fair-trade products within our hotels. The quality products selected have received excellent feedback from our hotel guests.

Our team of staff are very much valued at Morvan Hotels and we believe that it is this care that is instrumental in achieving the service levels that you have come to expect from us.

Our Hotel Standards

Award: We have been assessed under the prestigious AA hotel grading system, having received excellent AA hotel inspection reports with high service and hospitality scores. All Morvan hotel accommodation has been awarded a three star grading by the AA with the Best Western Royal achieving Silver status.

Our Catering

Award: We place great emphasis on our catering within the group and are proud to have retained our AA Rosette at our Best Western Royal Hotel over a number of years. 

We cook fresh each day at each hotel using fresh and quality ingredients. We operate under the States of Jersey 'Eat Safe' food hygiene system where we hold the top 5* rating, and we are HACCP compliant. Our team of chefs work closely together across the group. Full English breakfast and dinner is available in all hotels.

Investment and maintenance of our hotels:

Continuous and substantial investment has taken place into the physical buildings and facilities of our family owned hotels. We seek to provide a clean, well-maintained quality hotel environment that represents good value for money. For example, a recognised professional swimming pool engineer maintains water quality and swimming pool equipment, to provide you with safety and comfort during your stay. We believe that this level of detail is important for the enjoyment of your stay with us.

Best Western and us:

Our Best Western Royal Hotel and our Monterey Hotel, Sure Collection by Best Western, are both wholly owned and are operated by Morvan Hotels under the brand standards set down by Best Western International. We are pleased to have this hotel brand as a part of our family business, providing popular hotel choices with international quality standards and a professional approach to hospitality.

We entered through the car park and up very dated stairs to the new reception area. Staff were very helpful but our impression was of a slightly tired hotel. This continued in the corridor to our bedroom - first floor with a balcony and sea view. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom, but both could do with updating....
Staff in this hotel were wonderful - polite, courteous, professional, and very, very, very helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfasts - Full and Continental - had plenty of choice. With a central location - a short walk into St Helier. Guests had the use of the swimming pool and spa at the twin hotel Monteray.
Had a wonderful week at the hotel. We had an apartment. Swimming pool and gardens were fabulous. Apartment was excellent. Hotel staff were friendly and good. Maître di was a bit rude in his attitude and made a few errors towards residents. The hotel needs to update with WiFi. Jersey needs to accommodate the visitors by making the car parking...
Great hotel for all ages, indoor pool is a bonus for bad weather and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good if you liked cooked breakfast, although wish there was more fresh fruit. Had an evening meal there and it was lovely, which was good as the weather was particularly bad that evening and didn't go too...
Stayed here for 4 nights. Very helpful and polite staff in all areas, a credit to the Hotel! The hotel was very nice and comfortable, although a little tired looking, especially the bedroom/bathroom. Furniture was very dated and the curtains etc were rather old and faded, the shower was very difficult to set at correct temperature, however, everywhere was spotlessly...
The Royal to find it get a good map but its actually in a great spot central to St Helier , Good car parking under neath a archway to the side of the royal.the room are big enough clean an tidy our room 203 is one to stay clear of noisy in the mornings as its on a fire door...

The hotel is situated about 12-15 mins from town (on St Saviours Road, use La Motte street not the Road tunnel to get into town). Hotel is about 15 minute walk from the town centre through Millennium Park. Very friendly, attentive & helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a very good choice. Outdoor pool area very pleasant to use after a day out.
The Monterey Hotel, in St Hellier is situated in a convenient area with just a 10 minute walk to the town and wonderful childrens' park.
